How Thorns Damage Works in Diablo IV

A common misconception is that Thorns damage only scales with the flat Thorns stat found on your gear. In reality, Thorns scales directly with your character's Main Stat. Can Thorns Damage deal Critical Strikes?

No. In Diablo IV, Thorns damage is considered a retaliatory damage type and is naturally unable to score Critical Strikes under normal circumstances. While certain secondary effects or aspects triggered by Thorns might be able to crit, the base reflected Thorns damage will never benefit from your Critical Strike Chance or Critical Strike Damage stats.
